Players have until January 5 2022.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has received mixed reviews from the community and reviewers alike, thanks to a myriad of technical issues and contentious artistic choices.

In response, Rockstar promised to make amends by giving PC owners the classic PC versions at no additional cost when purchased through the Rockstar Games Launcher.

Now, the publisher is going one step further by giving away a free Rockstar game for the same PC players.

Players have until 5th January 2022 to purchase the trilogy and redeem one of the following games:

  • Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition
  • Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition
  • Max Payne 3
  • LA Noire
  • Bully: Scholarship Edition

You can redeem the offer here.

If none of those games are to your liking, you also have the option to claim a Grand Theft Auto Online Great White Shark card, or 55 gold bars in Red Dead Online.

“The bottom line is that it’s impossible to believe that this remaster was properly tested – and if it was, it seems that the bugs were not addressed by the developer,” Digital Foundry wrote in its analysis of the GTA Trilogy. “The end result is simply not good enough and this is such a shame. This is a landmark game and a genuinely important work.”
